This Privacy Policy explains how Paralyzed Veterans of America – California Chapter (“PVACC,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses and protects information when you visit pvacc.org. We are a nonprofit chapter of Paralyzed Veterans of America located at 5901 East 7th Street, Building 150, R-204, Long Beach, CA 90822.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you use a form on this site (for example, the contact form or newsletter sign-up), we collect what you enter, such as your name, email address, phone number and message. Some membership, volunteer and grant forms are hosted by Paralyzed Veterans of America on pva.tfaforms.net, and donations are processed by Zeffy; those services collect the information you enter on their pages under their own privacy policies.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server and security tools record basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. With your consent, we use privacy-friendly site statistics (Jetpack Stats) to understand which pages are useful.
Cookies. We use cookies that are needed for the site to work and, only if you allow them, cookies for statistics and embedded content. You can see the list of cookies and change your choices at any time in our Cookie Policy or with the cookie preferences button at the bottom of every page.

- To process membership, volunteer, event and grant requests
- To send newsletters or updates you asked for (you can unsubscribe at any time)

How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only with Paralyzed Veterans of America (our national organization) when it is needed to handle your request, and with service providers that help us run this website, such as our hosting company, email delivery service, security provider and the form and donation services named above. We may also share information if the law requires it.
Your privacy choices
You can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, including cookies used for statistics or advertising, by using the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link at the bottom of every page. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal sent by your browser as a valid opt-out request.
If you live in California, you may also have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to not be treated differently for using these rights. To make a request, email info@pvacc.org or call 562-826-5713. We will verify your request before acting on it.
How long we keep information
We keep form messages and contact details only as long as needed to respond and to keep reasonable records for our nonprofit. Cookie consent records are kept for 12 months. Security logs are kept for a short time and then deleted automatically.
Children’s privacy
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
