On September 3rd and 4th 2021 we held our first ever “Over The Edge” Fundraiser Event.  It was AMAZING!  40 individuals rappelled 141 feet supporting our chapter.  Next year is going to be even bigger and better.  Check out some of these amazing photos.  If you took some at the event and want to get them added, simply email them to in**@***cc.org.

Our 5th Annual Adaptive Sports Expo was October 10 and 11 at the Hospital. This year was the first year we added an additional “Marina Day,” where participants got the opportunity to Row, Kayak, Paddle Board, and Cycle. Day 2 had nearly 50 adaptive organizations sharing and highlighting their capabilities with everyone. This was easily the largest Expo to date and we are already excited and preparing for next year.

Check out photos of the most Recent Wheels to the Sea Adventure. Wheel to the Sea is a free community event designed to serve people in wheelchairs.  This year’s event served all sorts of individuals ranging from wheelchair users to individuals with traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress disorder, blindness, deafness or debilitating illnesses.

Presented by The Wilderness Institute, Wheel to the Sea involves a 5-mile hike through Point Mugu State Park, where guests learn about the flora, fauna and native people of the area. The trail includes rocky terrain, slopes and mud, or stream crossings in times of wet weather, providing challenges and opportunities for team-work and trust-building.
